MINIX 3 Source availability

The MINIX 3 source code is included on the CD-ROM image file, but if you want to inspect it while running a different operating system, please click here for a bzip2 compressed tar file of the 3.1.1 release source. This file contains the basics of minix (kernel, servers, drivers). There is also a complete source collection which is all /usr/src from the distribution CD. If you want a human-readable listing of the code discussed in the book (not 100% of the entire code), that is available in Appendix B of the book.
