MINIX 3 - Running it in VMWare

How Can I Run MINIX 3 In VMWare?

You can download a Minix 3 ISO from the Download page, and set VMWare to install a machine from that ISO.

We also have a ready-made VMWare machine for you that you can run with the free VMWare player.

Pre-installed Minix 3.1.2a
Pre-installed Minix 3.1.1 (the virtual machine has 256 MB of memory and 1 GB of disk space).
Free VMWare Player that you can run the above virtual machine on.

On newer versions of VMware, you can get this error:

*** vcpu-0:ASSERT vmcore/private/iospace_shared.h:558 bugNr=64440
